Layoffs were a huge topic in 2009 in the games industry. You couldn't load up your favourite blog without seeing some studio close or some other company laying off people. Ubisoft has just released this information regarding the financial targets of the company and some significant changes to their upcoming game release schedule.
Important notes from the release:
Sales for games on the Wii and DS were lower than expected in 2009 and are expected to be down for the full year by around €160 million (or $239 million CAD), representing a drop of around 50% in world wide sales numbers.

Ok so I had to pre-order Mass Effect 2 today - I just can't wait for this title to launch.
Why so excited you ask? Just check out the Voice talent coming to Mass Effect 2 - I think you will have to admit this is a top notch line up (full list below video). Add in the new story line building from Mass Effect, the return and evolution of the Geth, the pre-order bonus of the Inferno Armor (shown right), you would be crazy to miss out on this game.

Hot dawg, Shaun White is back and ready to hit the slopes in the latest sports release in the series from the team over at Ubisoft. Having never played the previous Shaun White Snowboarding, I was impressed with the level of details that went it to this title. This game is a shooter based loosely on the characters from the Madballs line along with some additional balls that you use to venture through the game.
