Gameplay Video Prince Of Persia: The Forgotten Sands

Today Ubisoft released a Gameplay video, along with the developer comments, from Prince Of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. In the video the Development team discuss the back story of the game, some of the new features and level designs as well as the battle engine used (originally designed for Assassins Creed). From the videos appearance this looks like a great rebooting of the franchise, heading back to the roots of the game and building on the success of the Sands of Time.

Stand back Tony Hawk there is an new kid in town, XGames Gold Medalist Shaun White. After the success of the Shaun White Snowboarding franchise Ubisoft will take Skateboarding to a new level with Shaun behind the wheels.
How does Shaun feel about all this:
"I can't describe how excited I am about the skateboard game,” said Shaun White. “We've been working on it for a while now and it's ready to melt minds."

New From the team over at Bungie - the Halo Reach Multiplayer Trailer. Showcasing some of the new features and moves your going to gain access to in game - Jet packs, assassinations look amazing. New game play types; Head Hunter, Spartans vs. Elites and Invasion all look amazing.

SCEA Announces Acquisition of Media Molecule

Today Sony Computer Entertainment announced that it had acquired game developer Media Molecule, creators of LittleBigPlanet for the PS3 and PSP.

Civilization V Announced

Firaxis Games recently announced the upcoming release of Sid Meier's Civilization V. Talk about exciting I grew up playing Civilization and have played every single version since, along with (almost) all of the Expansions packs available.
Based on this trailer it's time to begin a PC upgrade again...

The gaming internet loves having a good target to funnel its hate and Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision has been at the barrel of the gun for some time. Kotick has taken the chance to speak about himself and Activision in his DICE 2010 keynote and he showed us his geeky gamer inside that has been locked away in the cold shell of a very expensive suit for years. Please take this with a grain of salt as it is coming from the man himself, but you should know that his gaming cred runs deep.

The Future Face of the Industry?

There is an old saying, "Better the Devil you know than the Devil you don't". Many people will complain about EA and their yearly Madden installments, or about Ubisoft and their imagine gamez, or about Activision's Bobby Kotick being, well, himself. Although we do have our beef(s) with all the big name publishers out there, they're our big name publishers, and they're better than what might be coming.
